This necklace features a small hand painted silver pendant that illustrates the sacred symbol of Goddess Lakshmi's feet.
In Indian religious scriptures, Lakshmi is the goddess of wealth and prosperity and it is believed that wherever she goes, there is abundance and wealth. These foot print symbols are hence considered pious and fortifying and every year during the Diwali festival, they are worn or drawn in Indian homes to invite the Goddess into their lives.
The blue-grey color used in the pendant was so unique that I spent weeks scouring bead stores (and looking up online) for the color matching beads that added to and not took away from (yes, some beads are known to do that :)) the beauty that this little pendant is. And imagine my joy when at the end of three weeks I ran into an exact match in the Crystals section at my local bead store! The joy!
I added orange lampwork glass beads to the crystals to bring out the colors of the feet.
The necklace is approx. 17 inches long so it sits very close to the clavicle. The metal beads used through the length of the necklace are a combination of silver plated zinc and Bali silver beads. A Bali silver clasp completes the look.

All the metal components I use in my jewelry, unless specified otherwise, are high quality lead free and nickel free base metals. Wherever possible I use made in USA Tierracast metal components.

A gorgeous blue necklace featuring a hand painted large Ganesha pendant in hallmark 925 silver and chunky faceted blue jade beads interspersed with sterling silver Indian bell charms matching those on the pendant.
Ganesha, also known as Ganapati, Vinayaka or Binayaka, is one of the most worshiped deities in the Hindu pantheon. In India, not only do Hindu sects worship him regardless of affiliations, devotion to Ganesha also extends to Jains and Buddhists.
Lord Ganesha is widely revered as the remover of obstacles, the patron of arts and sciences and the Deva of intellect and wisdom. As the god of beginnings, he is honored at the start of rites and ceremonies. Ganesha is also invoked as patron of letters and learning during writing sessions.
The necklace measures approx. 17 inches from end to end and sits in a gorgeous spread across the neckline. The pendant measures 4 inches from top to bottom and 3 inches in diameter and makes an impactful statement. The hook clasp is a handmade Bali silver clasp.

This necklace features three beautiful Ganesha pendants hand painted by an artist based in Jaipur, Rajasthan. They are a fine example of exquisite miniature art very famous in Rajasthan. The paintings are encased in Sterling Silver pendants that have the designer hallmark stamp of 92.5 at their back.
I used chunky shell pearl beads in grey/silver and Berber spiral silver pendants to tie the whole look together. The large shell pearls bring out the grey background of the paintings and make this a stunning example of how Indian and African traditional art forms and motifs can be blended together to create a contemporary modern look.
The hook clasp is a handmade Bali silver clasp and the silver beads used in the necklace are silver plated high quality zinc beads.
