Ganesha Miniature Painting 925 Silver Necklace, Religious Necklace

This necklace features a Ganesha pendant hand painted by an artist based in Jaipur, Rajasthan. I used lampwork glass beads in deep orange and yellow faceted Jade beads to bring out the lovely Ganesha image against the silver grey background.
The pendant is in Sterling Silver (the back side has the new designer 92.5 stamp) and the hook clasp is a handmade Bali silver clasp. The metal beads used through the length of the necklace are a combination of silver plated zinc and Bali silver beads.

Ganesha, also known as Ganapati, Vinayaka or Binayaka, is one of the most worshiped deities in the Hindu pantheon. In India, not only do Hindu sects worship him regardless of affiliations, devotion to Ganesha also extends to Jains and Buddhists.

Lord Ganesha is widely revered as the remover of obstacles, the patron of arts and sciences and the Deva of intellect and wisdom. As the god of beginnings, he is honored at the start of rites and ceremonies. Ganesha is also invoked as patron of letters and learning during writing sessions.

This is a sweet, elegant and no-fuss necklace for everyday wear. The necklace measures approx. 22 inches from end to end.
