Long Hamsa Necklace, Moroccan Necklace, Mixed Metal Necklace, Red Gold Necklace

This necklace features a large hand engraved Hamsa (often also called Khamsa) pendant from Morocco. The pendant is made using Copper, Brass and Silver with a coral "Eye" in the center. Hamsa - the Hand of Fatima, is a symbol for protection and it is believed that it keeps it's owner from harm hence it's wide use in jewelry across the eastern world.
I coupled the pendant with a big and gorgeous Turkman biconical bead in brass and silver. To bring out the color in the coral eye, I used rust-red agate beads in combination with Ethiopian silver handmade bicones and matte gold hematite beads.
The necklace is one of my favorite compostions as I feel that it exhudes both charm and opulence - like a piece fit for royalty.

It closes in a Bali sterling silver hook and is approx. 30 inches long (plus a two inch extention chain in sterling silver). The pendant has a height of approx. 4 inches.
