Long Tribal Necklace, Rajasthan Old Silver Necklace, Red Yellow Ethnic Trade Beads Necklace

This long necklace features an antique silver pendant from Rajasthan (from the early 1900s) surrounded by vintage trade and handmade silver beads.
The twelve red and white Venetian white heart eye "skunk" beads are from the Venetian African trade and estimated to be dated late 1800-early 1900s.
The ten elongated ruby red "feather" beads are also rare trade beads made in late 1800s to early 1900s. The famous Murano lampworking design with white, yellow and black stripes of glass applied to a deep red base and pulled in opposite directions has given them the name "feather" in the world of trade beads. (This art of glass pulling or lampworking was widely practiced in Murano, Italy in the 14th century and beads of that era are rare to find and considered extremely precious today.)

These beads are accentuated with thirty old lampwork beads in yellow from Nepal, sixteen hand-rolled Hill Tribe silver beads and four tribal artisan handmade silver bi-cones from Ethiopia.
The necklace closes in a sterling silver hook clasp from Bali.

The necklace measures approx. 29 inches from end to end with the pendant adding an additional depth of approx. 1.75 inches.
