SOLD Ganesha Necklace, Purple Lavender Mauve Necklace

This necklace features a Ganesha pendant hand painted by an artist based in Jaipur, Rajasthan. I used three strands of light purple crystal beads interspersed with silver cubes along with purple discs and large oval fresh water pearls in mauve/grey hues to string this.
The pendant is in Sterling Silver (the back side has the new designer 92.5 stamp) and the hook clasp is a handmade Bali silver clasp. The metal beads used through the length of the necklace are a combination of silver plated zinc and Bali silver beads.

Ganesha, also known as Ganapati, Vinayaka or Binayaka, is one of the most worshiped deities in the Hindu pantheon. In India, not only do Hindu sects worship him regardless of affiliations, devotion to Ganesha also extends to Jains and Buddhists.

Lord Ganesha is widely revered as the remover of obstacles, the patron of arts and sciences and the Deva of intellect and wisdom. As the god of beginnings, he is honored at the start of rites and ceremonies. Ganesha is also invoked as patron of letters and learning during writing sessions.

This is a sweet, feminine and very elegant necklace for day as well as evening wear. The crystal beads reflect light beautifully and make it a delicate shiny piece for evenings. The necklace measures approx. 18 inches from end to end on the shortest strand. The three strands and the pendant hang down to approx. another 2 inches.
