Vintage Indian Tribal Silver Hindu God Cow Deity Kamdhenu Necklace

This vintage ethnic tribal silver pendant from Rajasthan, India features Kamdhenu, (also known as Surabhi) a divine bovine-goddess revered in Hinduism as the mother of all cows. She is also considered a miraculous wish-granting "cow of plenty" and it has been believed that worshiping her at home or keeping her in close proximity brings wealth and abundance.
These Kamdhenu pendants are rare to find even in the old homes in the interiors of Rajasthan and hence this pendant is one of my most treasured finds.
To honor this sacred pendant, I wanted to use only old and recycled components in this composition. That explains the accompaniment of handmade African beads (made out of recycled glass) and handmade artisan Berber beads (made out of recycled silver and coins).
A handmade Bali silver clasp completes the look keeping it elegant and simple.

The necklace measures approx. 20 inches from end to end.
